We have been providing childcare to the local community since 2007, we are based in the The Stables building, in the grounds of St Thomas' Church, off of Mortimers lane in Fair Oak, Eastleigh. This year we will celebrate our 15th group of little Footprints transitioning to school.
At Footprints we pride ourselves in offering a 'home from home' learning environment.

About Us

At Footprints we promote a relaxed, calm and happy atmosphere focusing on ‘Learning through Play’ within a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. We are open to all children aged from 2yrs to school age and welcome all families. We encourage the development of self-esteem and independence to help your child make a natural transition to Year R.

 

Each child is supported in exploring their potential at their own pace to ensure individual development of appropriate play, with a high level of direct adult input, when required. Alongside free play, Footprints also provides activities and experiences that meet your child's individual stages of development, within the Early Years Foundation Stage. We continuously improve and update the environment, layout, equipment and resources within the Pre-school.

EYFS

Early Years Foundation Stage

Footprints Pre-Schools bring the EYFS Framework to life in a supportive, safe and stimulating environment for all early years children. We encourage all friends and family to take a look at the framework to see better, how we are helping your children to develop at Footprints. WE are registered and regulated by Ofsted
and were rated Good in our latest inspection. You can read our report here


In The Moment Planning (ITMP)
 

Although we plan for children's individual needs and next steps, we also use In The Moment Planning (ITMP). This means we will use a child's interest and develop and extend it in to an activity for all children to learn from. Once we have received the initial interest (Spark) we will then plan our what we would like the children to learn (Intent), put together all the resources and equipment (Implementation) and record the outcome (Impact).

We ensure that all children build on their existing experiences,  and are able to access new experiences, ensuring they are prepared for future success in their lives.

We understand that finding a suitable environment for your child to grow and be happy is extremely important. If you would like to arrange a trial session for you and your child to see the facilities and speak to our team, we would be more than happy to hear from you.
 
We are open from 8.30am - 3pm Monday to Friday so please feel free to contact us and book a time that is suitable for you.

We are an inclusive Pre-School and we learn about and celebrate many different activities throughout the year. Families and friends are always welcome to participate and contribute to any of the events that we plan - the more the merrier! Please keep a close eye on this page for updates on the upcoming events.
